General Motors has announced that it has added the complete line of Saab vehicles to the GM Mobility program. Customers purchasing or leasing any new 2007 or 2008MY Saab vehicle and install or reinstall eligible adaptive mobility equipment can receive a combination of financial assistance plus the the protection of OnStar. All GM brands are now part of the program, including Buick, Cadillac, Chevrolet, GMC, HUMMER, Pontiac and Saturn.
The GM Mobility Program was launched in 1991 to assist those with disabilities with their transportation needs. GM reimburses up to $1,000 with the purchase of lease of a new GM vehicle and adapt it with one or more of the 35 eligible aftermarket mobility equipment modifications such as hand controls, scooter hoists, OnStar TTY equipment or wheelchair lifts.
