St. Louis - April 25 - Build-A-Bear Workshop is joining forces with Rainforest Cafe to open the Build-A-Bear Workshop At Rainforest Cafe—Where Wild and Wonderful Friends Are Made. This is a new shopping experience available inside Rainforest Cafe’s Retail Villages. The first location opened Tuesday inside the Rainforest Cafe at Galveston Island, Texas.
“We are excited to bring the experience of making stuffed animal friends to even more families through the unique entertainment concept in the Rainforest Cafe,” said Maxine Clark, Build-A-Bear Workshop founder and chief executive bear. “We look for ways to bring the bear-making experience to places families go to have fun. Build-A-Bear Workshop at Rainforest Cafe is the perfect place for good food and a fun family experience.”
Similar to the traditional Build-A-Bear experience, guests stuff their animal friends and give them a personality with outfits and accessories. Each animal comes with its own unique hangtag with facts about its species. The stores will feature 10 animals that will range in price from $14 to $22. Clothing and accessories, some exclusive to the Rainforest workshops, will range from $2 to $30.
More locations are already planned. The next location will open on May 15 at the Mall of America in Minneapolis, followed by another in Grapevine Mills, Texas, on May 22.
